 to present recent scientific and clinical advancements in measuring advers
 e events in healthcare. Adverse events are defined as injuries suffered by
  patients that are attributable to healthcare management rather than to th
 eir underlying diseases. We are honored to welcome Prof. David W. Bates fr
 om Harvard Medical School\, an internationally recognized authority in the
  field of adverse event detection. This event is organized as part of two 
 innovative projects: SafeCare Switzerland (www.safe-care.ch) and SwissMADE
 . Experts from academic\, clinical\, and policy-making fields will present
  their work\, share their professional experience\, and engage in discussi
 ons with participants. This workshop offers an important opportunity to le
 arn about the current state of knowledge and practical experiences from Sw
